Marketing at Unum
By creating a strong, engaging story for our customers and giving our people the materials they need to attract and retain business, we're playing a key role in Unum's continuing growth.
This involves working closely with the business to develop the communications they need, from managing the brand, website, social media presence and brochures, to creating new content. For example, we developed an online portal where customers can get all news and content about our industry, as well as product brochures and presentations. We also developed an app for brokers to get hold of and share this content easily.

Our Marketing teams
Our team manages the brand repositioning programme for Unum UK.We execute all internal and external brand communications, across broadcast channels. We manage brand guidelines and drive excellence standards for all brand communications.We also develop the UK brand strategy across our acquisitions and partnerships.
Our team delivers the strategic marketing initiatives at product and customer level in line with Unum’s growth ambitions. We are in charge of delivering market growth through successful and sustained new product launches to expand our product portfolio. We are responsible for all product marketing, broker communications and digital content strategy.
Our team is responsible for delivering measurable results through the development, implementation, and day-to-day management of all Channel communication and engagement initiatives. We work closely with Customer Solutions to manage and deliver the communication material which supports the business and Marketing strategy and so supports the achievement of sales targets.
Our Team has ownership of Unum’s digital content strategy and marketing technology strategy. We oversee the marketing development platform for Unum. We manage the external technology and content suppliers to ensure they integrate with company-wide infrastructure to improve efficiency, drive sales and benefit our customers.
Our team manages the day-to-day reporting for integrated marketing initiatives including analytics, and data management as it relates to our digital properties and programs. We analyse new programs and properties to determine key performance metrics for campaigns and projects. We alsoimplement the use of appropriate data tracking and reporting to demonstrate performance and outcomes.
Strategy and Business Development
Our team is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the external marketplace and the potential impact it has on Unum. We aim to understand the market landscape and seize any new market opportunities to support the long term business growth ambitions. We manage and deliver all primary or secondary market and customer research for Unum.
