Filling the gaps
In 2016, Unum bought National Dental Plan (NDP), which became Unum Dental, adding a leading dental service to our employee benefits package. Alongside our life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection products, this made Unum a one-stop shop for health and retirement plans. It also enabled us to expand benefits to more customers, reach more brokers and grow the overall dental market.
We're proud to be the only dental insurance provider with a 'Recognised' product status from the Oral Health Foundation. This helps us keep our position as a leader in corporate dental insurance. Our clients range from FTSE 100 to small and medium-sized companies, and public to private sector organisations across the UK.
With teams in London and Basingstoke, we're focusing on developing new products and services and building on our strong relationships with brokers and employers. This means we're always looking for people with the drive and ambition to make their mark in our growing team.
Our Unum Dental teams
Our team helps to provide a quality claims handling service, dealing with customer enquiries and the processing of claim settlements within the scope of the policy terms and conditions. We effectively handle all claims in a customer focused manner and handle all claims to a high technical standard in accordance with claims philosophies and client handling requirements.
Our team handles the data and operations of Unum Dental. We liaise with internal and external clients or brokers. Alongside this we are given the opportunity to build and maintain effective relationships with all clients/brokers. Each individual in our team manages and prioritises their own workflow to maintain quality of service.
Sales Consultants and Account Managers
Our team works within the Unum Dental business, we support our Hunter and Farmer consultants to develop relationships and provide proactive support with our broker base that allows consultants to increase marketplace presence while also generating growth opportunities. We support brokers that have been identified as having potential to maximise relationship cultivation whilst facilitating strategic sales activities focussed on maximising sales of the Unum dental product suite.
